Due to a wide range of youth outreach activities, a student organization was formed, Students for Energy Efficiency. The founders of Association were Bachelors and Masters students of Akaki Tsereteli State University.
The basic goal of Association is to raise the level of youth involvement in civil activity, and encourage awareness of energy efficiency, climate change and environmental improvement processes through demonstration, development and realization of their own potential. This was accomplished through lessons at schools in Kutaisi.
A one-week Energy Efficiency and Culture Camp for university students from Tbilisi and Kutaisi was organized in Kutaisi. Topics covered included energy efficiency, climate change, art posters and video as tools for promotion, and practical community applications. Manuals on energy efficiency for journalists, and textbooks and a coloring book for K-12 pupils were prepared and published.
