Waste Free Rivers for a Clean Black Sea

Project was aimed at: facilitating the enhancement of the quality of the environment and contribute to reducing river and marine litter in the Black Sea Basin countries through the introduction of modern waste management practices and increasing environmental awareness. The main area of project activities was the most polluted rivers of the Black Sea – Rioni River (Georgia) and Prut River (Moldova), where were implemented adaptation and introduction of the best EU waste management practices.
The Project „Waste Free Rivers for a Clean Black Sea“ was financed within the framework of Joint Operational Programme Black Sea Basin 2014-2020.
The project started in 30.08.2018.
Duration of the project is 33 months.
