
This project was developed to help the citizens of Tkibuli gain practical experience in local problem-solving. The two primary activities were to draft and implement an Environmental Action Plan, and address problems with pollution from the local Thermal Power Plant (TPP).
Planning activities helped the citizens to develop the Tkibuli LEAP, used for Municipal budget priorities and socio-economic development strategy, and reflected the joint interests of all stakeholders. There was a long-term strategy for development experience, to promote municipal development plans, and the involvement of citizens in the process of their efficiency.

The project contributed to the protection of their constitutional rights to live in a clean and healthy environment. The Tkibuli Thermal Power plant was required to modify their operations to meet the noise and vibration regulations.
